It's been a while since I've gone on a shopping spree and what struck me was the prevalence of loyalty programs. There is a membership card for everything!
As I approached the counter and upon being asked if I were a member I would rummage in the side pocket of my handbag and see if I held a card. Sure enough yes I did. Heck I even have a card from a salad bar!
Is there a record for the most held number of loyalty cards?
Out of this pile I'd say there is probably three (at most!) that are actually used and provide me with rewards. One of is my coffee loyalty card!
How many loyalty cards do you own?

I have so many! And lately I've been too lazy to get them out. I'm not sure I benefit enough from using them to warrant making the effort anymore!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness YES! I have been saying this for ages, I have a loyalty card for almost every store I regularly shop in. My wallet is chock-a-block full of little plastic cards and only a handful of them actually get me the occasional discount or freebie. I'm convinced it is just a way for the companies to get our email addresses, so they can send us even more useless advertising! But then, I could always say no when I'm offered their loyalty program in the first place :o/ xo
ReplyDeleteI have heaps of them, I probably only use 5 or so though. I carry a little business card holder book that I keep them all in, makes finding them so much easier, and means my purse is a lot thinner too!
ReplyDeleteHa ha yes! Far too many, and the only onee I use regularly are my Woolies and Country Road cards :)
